Children are natural scientists. They are anxious to understand the world just like adults are. There is a terribly interesting, yet confusing, world of stimuli all around them!
In the opening sequence I wanted to present the child’s imagination and how they interpret the world in all its confusing and captivating glory. The world of a child’s imagination is where anything can happen and where problems are creatively solved. Some solutions children think of are often very humorous, yet complex. In the sequence there is an eclectic mix of scenarios and objects which allude to problems and solutions children may create. For example, strawberry milk is from cows eating strawberries.
The styling of the sequence is a mixed-media montage. 2D graphics, black + white newspaper photos, 3D and stop-frame animation are all meshed together. This helps form the chaotic nature of the world and allows the possibilities to be endless.
